Each year in
spring, the Association's Fireworks Committee meets with the
local fireworks wholesalers and test "Safe &
Sane" fireworks for compliance performance before they
are permitted for sale over the Fourth of July holiday. |

This is the first comprehensive injury
prevention program available for use in schools. The
curriculum is divided into 5 age-appropriate teaching modules
(Pre-K/Kindergarten, Grades
1-2, Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, and
Grades 7-8). Each addresses 8 fire and life safety
areas. |

Our flagship
fire safety workshop offered for early childhood development
teachers, pre-school teachers, and child care providers on
teaching fire safety behaviors. Sesame Street characters
provide innovative themes, for preschool age fire & life
safety lessons. |

|
The YFSI Program is a referral and education program extended to families whose children have one or more incidents with fire. Referrals are from local fire & police, school district, juvenile justice services, families & pediatricians. The cost is free to the public.
