With over 25 years in the Fire Service, Jeff has held the position of Firefighter/EMT, Fire Prevention Inspector and Fire Marshal. In his career, Jeff has also acted in the position of Fire Investigator and Public Information Officer. Jeff currently holds the position of Deputy Fire Marshal for the City of Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.
Jeff holds Associates Degrees in Fire Science Technology and in Fire Protection Technology and is currently certified with the National Fire Protection Association as a Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Fire Inspector Level I & II (1031 Standards), International Fire Code Institute Fire Inspector II, Uniform Fire Code certified, and State of Nevada Fire Inspector III certified. Jeff has been the runner-up for the City of Las Vegas Fire Prevention Employee of the Year twice and awarded Job Site Supervisor of the Year by the Las Vegas High School PAL Program.
Jeff is currently in his third 2 year term as President of the Fire Prevention Association. During his term as President, the Association has expanded from a regional Association covering Southern Nevada to a statewide organization serving the State of Nevada and has been awarded Chapter status from the International Fire Marshals Association (Chapter 22), the Uniform Fire Code Association (Chapter 1) and the International Code Council. Partnerships have also been formed with the Local Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Safe Kids-Clark County, Nevada Fire Chief's Association and the Nevada State Fire Marshals Office.
Jeff enjoys working with the members and keeping them up to date on Association programs, functions and activities through his infamous master membership email list. His goals for the Association is to continue to meet the stated mission of the Association, expand the membership base, work with other national and state safety organizations and serve the members and citizens of the State of Nevada. |
