The Southern Nevada Fire Code Committee was established in 1991 to provide regional consensus code and standard amendments, code interpretations, fire code and standard operational guidelines.

The SNFCC meets once a month to review and discuss each code interpretation request, determine if the request needs an interpretation and then forward their recommendations on to the Valley Fire Marshals for final review and approval. Once approved, the interpretation will be posted on the FPAN website.
